Inscription – This one deserves its own category. I recently got back into this profession and I think it can make some serious gold at all levels due to how glyphs work now. On the flip side, glyphs are cosmetic one time uses only and the market can be really slow for the less interesting ones. I also recently installed TSM and I think you need some kind of addon like this to manage your production and sales if you are going to be in the glyph market. BfA is also keeping the tomes and adding in new reputation contracts so that could also provide a steady income.

A: Buying gold from third-party services negatively impacts the game experience for everyone. -Island Expeditions- Island expeditions was one of the new features I was looking forward to but Blizzard no longer makes games that are ready when they are ready but rather makes games ready when the deadline comes. Thus, many of the new features are completely stripped down from what was expected and it's literally just a small scenario you enter with two other players to continue to grind out your Azerite neck piece.
-Warfronts- I liked the idea of warfronts because it blends elements of Warcraft III with World of Warcraft, however, it's not a PvP battleground or instance, it's PvE so given time, it's a guaranteed win so many people are starting to AFK in the warfront. Beyond that, there is only one warfront to participate in right now. Also, when preparing for a warfront, Blizzard presents you with daily quests to help "aid" the warfront, however, your daily quest turn ins have no bases on the progression of warfront. The warfront will continue to advance at the same rate no matter if you do zero quests or everyone does all the quests.

There’s a lot of #content in the new expansion. It’s mostly locked behind a variety of gates, some of which players can’t even control. Warfronts are the best example. You might assume joining a Warfront is a simple matter of opening the group finder. Wrong! Warfronts are only accessible for a week at a time. It’s not precisely clear how often that week will come around (it’s based both on a time gate and on the opposing faction gathering resources) but, as of right now, it looks likely to be available just one week out of every four.

Still, it’s terrible to see the new expansion fail so spectacularly at iterating on Legion’s success. It’s hard to believe the two expansions came from the same company. Legion made you feel powerful and unique. Battle for Azeroth grinds at you by taking away as much as it gives. Sure, you can have a shiny toy. Sometimes. If you don’t get too carried away.
Charge Into the Warfronts: Fight on the battlefields of a large-scale, 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Capture resources to build your faction’s forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to objectives, and fight the enemy commander to claim victory in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.

-Bugs- There aren't too many glaring bugs anymore, but you will certainly encounter some. The pathetic thing is that many of the bugs you'll encounter were reported repeatedly during Alpha/Beta and still weren't fixed. Some bugs were discovered after release and players were able to abuse game mechanics without repercussion unless they were one of the more serious offenders. This gave some players a significant advantage over others because they used exploits and at the start of an expansion, that is the time when it's most impactful.


Not improvements on audio, as expected. These are intended to make your speaker connections look more "professional" and easier to manage. If you are an audio freak like me (changing and switching cables all the time just to get the most from my equipment) you'll appreciate these. A little "plastic" look but does the trick very well. The screws are great when it comes to get the cables tighten to the plugs. Recommended.

Professions skills are split between expansions now, you'll have a separate skill bar for each expansion. There are still 950 profession levels in total, just that there is no one single progress bar with 1 to 950 for it anymore. Instead, there are 8 separate progress bars. (The only exception is Archaeology, because it will still have a 1-950 progress bar)
All are used for some crafts still, and depending on your server you can profit solely by buying mats on the AH, doing your transmute CD, and reposting. Heck many don't even need transmute master to be viable. This can be especially good for those of us who have been playing continuously for years and as a result have alts, many of which that aren't even max level, that we used back then that can still be used.
Each of those modes existed long before this latest expansion; raiding is a basic concept in MMOs, and Mythic+ was added in World of Warcraft’s last expansion. The problems with Battle for Azeroth’s endgame come from the systems it adds, which most often artificially gate progress where most of the fun can be found. Professions are skills used to create and enhance items (gears). You will start with one skill once your character has learned a profession. When you use the profession, your skill will increase. A profession’s higher skill will allow you to create more powerful items. If you change a primary profession, you will lose any skill you have made with your original profession. Eventually, the Alliance finishes its preparations and launches an attack on the Zadalari capital of Dazar'zalor, their goal being to sever the budding alliance between the Zandalari and the Horde by dismantling the Golden Fleet and capturing King Rastakhan. Despite Anduin and Jaina's desire to capture him alive, Rastakhan is overwhelmed by the power of his pact with the Loa Bwonsamdi, and the Alliance champions are forced to slay him. Enraged by Rastakhan's death, Horde champions launch a vicious counterattack on the withdrawing Alliance forces, which ends with both Jaina and High Tinkerer Mettatorque gravely wounded. As the Alliance leadership debates their next move, Sylvanas, infuriated by the Horde's defeat, resurrects Jaina's long dead brother Derek Proudmoore as a Forsaken, an act that horrifies the surviving Horde leaders, with the intent to use him as a sleeper agent to destroy the Proudmoore family from within.
Gold is a necessary element of World of Warcraft. Players can create their own self-sustaining economy. and use it to buy very useful items to improve a player’s experience. But when it comes to gold, everyone wants it. This makes many gold making methods in WoW difficult to use. They become saturated. When were professions really good, in your opinion? The hexweave bags are still a safe bet unless the new 32 crafting cost is like 10% of them. The one thing I'm more concerned about is the professions squish. This will make the old world items that we've been selling (TBC Dust still sells by 200 stacks easily) only required for Transmog and not leveling. This was a better option for a lot of professions (especially enchanting). Expecting their near-death with the next expansion. :(

Changes were also made to levelling in earlier content with Legion's 7.3.5 patch. The level-scaling tech introduced in Legion not only be continued in the new continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, but was also be applied to content from prior expansions, allowing larger level brackets for lower level zones. Further, as previous expansions are now included in the base game, the level ranges for those expansions are now broadened, allowing players to spend more time leveling in preferred expansions and avoid others entirely. Some examples include a zone like Westfall having its level bracket (at 10–15 as of Legion) increased to 10–60, whilst continents such as Outland and Northrend sharing a 60–80 level bracket. The aim of this change is to encourage more player choice whilst levelling and to allow players to experience the full story of a particular zone without overlevelling the relevant quests.
The Alliance are able to unlock the void elves (exiled blood elves who can tap into shadow magic, trained by Alleria Windrunner after her experiences on Argus), Lightforged draenei (draenei members of the Army of the Light who fought the Legion on Argus), Dark Iron dwarves (fire-blooded cousins of the in-game dwarves of Ironforge), and Kul Tiran humans (larger, more heavyset versions of the in-game humans of Stormwind).[6]
But the system offers a painful and mindless grind. At worst, it feels like a cheap and artificial wall blocking you from playing your character to its full potential. Levels of your heart come fast at first, but the costs become prohibitive when you get up into level 20 or so. Island expeditions require groups of three players to venture to islands with randomly spawned enemies and piles of AP. The island expedition ends once they collect a certain amount of AP, and they are granted about 300 AP as a reward — unfortunately, players don’t get any of the between 6,000 and 12,000 AP they collect during the expedition. These missions can take anywhere from three to 20 minutes, and never once offer any real challenge or depth.
If you're a new player and buying gold (for some startup money) isn't an option, there's nothing wrong with gathering (especially if you're getting BfA...it'll be good gold initially if you farm BfA mats and sell high). You can make pretty good money just flipping stuff...and because Legion items are super risky now, it's a good time to get spirits of harmony (just buy what you can and sell it in in bigger stacks at higher costs or turn it into ore/bars or lotus to sell when that is profitable). I'd avoid putting all of your gold there though. Sometimes a bot or just someone returning to the game will dump 10+ stacks of 200 spirits cheap and tanks the markets for a bit. Flipping (if you get good at it) will make you more gold in than long run than farming but if you don't have much gold either is a step forward from here. They key to making gold is having the flexibility to lock up most of your gold in items and wait patiently to sell them at a good price but you gotta start small (or cheat like me...when I came back in December I just spent $100 on tokens and haven't spent money on anything other than the Collector's edition since. It's a lot easier to make gold if you already have some.
A variety of people use professions in this game for different purposes. Some just use them for their own needs and some use them because their game is making gold on the auction house. This is part of the problem since blizzard never seems to be able to please both groups lately because they don't spend enough money on that aspect of the game to offer enough of a variety of patterns/recipes.
They're segmenting professions by expansion. So that 100 skill level for legion is just for legion. There'd be another 100 skill in draenor blacksmithing or whatever. It's a better way to do it. As /u/UristMcUselessNoble said above: From what I've understood, instead of one one 1-800 profession, each Expac will have it's own profession level, which mean Classic will be 1-300, Cata will be 1-75, Legion 1-100 etc.

When you launch the game you can choose from two opposite factions (Alliance and Horde), 7 different races for each factions and 6 different classes with very wide mixture of the character's appearance. World of Warcraft play involves the completion of quests while traveling through the story line, gaining experience from the quests to level up the characters and picking up the useful loot to trade with other players. Once a player feel strong enough, or simply just wishes to find some better items, players can visit dungeons where a group can fight together to get better loot from stronger monsters.
