I got a lucky 350 BoE drop just after hitting 120 about 48 hours after the expansion launched. Was able to sell it for 400k. I had chosen an alt on a different faction as a main this expansion, so I was glad to have more than the 25k I’d previously had. A couple days later I saw another 350 on the AH for 50k and flipped it for 300. That plus farming Monelite Ore as I do World Quest has me sitting on about 1mil.
Some mount items are bound to the original player - so you must develop the related profession in order to learn them - while others can be sold and traded. Some mounts require you to be skilled in the related profession in order to use them (especially Tailoring and Leatherworking, plus a couple of Engineering mounts), while others can be used by any character on your account. We usually indicate above the mount whether it can be traded or is bound, and whether it requires a specific profession to be able to use.
I don't think that made professions all that useful. And it was a huge burden to the fun of getting new gear. I like that if I get a new piece of gear in a raid I can generally equip it right away. Couldn't do that when half the gear you get need enchants/gems/whatever. Why not just bring back re-forging then? Though I did like upgrading gear when that was a thing.
In Kul Tiras, the Alliance's initial attempt to gain the nation's assistance ends disastrously when Katherine Proudmoore, Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras and mother to Archmage Jaina Proudmoore, not only refuses the Alliance's request for aide but also orders Jaina arrested and exiled for her role in the death of her father, Daelin Proudmoore, in the aftermath of the Third War. It quickly becomes apparent that Kul Tiras has become mired in corruption and outside threats, so Anduin and Genn Greymane send Alliance Champions to aid the Kul Tirans and earn their trust. Aiding them in this quest are Flynn Fairwind, a "retired" privateer, and Taelia Fordragon, the idealistic daughter of Bolvar Fordragon, former High Lord of Stormwind and current Lich King of the Undead Scourge. The Alliance is successfully able to earn the trust of Kul Tiras by combating the pirates of the traitorous Ashvane Trading Company in Tirisgrade Sounds, the Naga and corrupted agents of Queen Azshara in Stormsong Valley, and the occult forces of the ancient, ghostly warlord Gorak Tul in Drustvar. After these threats are defeated, Katherine is left despondent at her inability to lead her people, and resolves to help the Alliance find Jaina and reconcile with her. The Alliance eventually track Jaina to the prison island of Fate's End, where Gorak Tul, having survived the events of Drustvar, has kidnapped her and is tormenting her with visions of her past failures. The Alliance champions and Katherine destroy Gorak Tul once and for all and rescue Jaina, who is finally able to let go of the hate, anger and obsession with the past that defined her ever since the destruction of Theramore. The Alliance and Proudmoores then unite to defend the capitol city of Boralus from a massive pirate siege, after which Jaina is named Lord Admiral and pledges Kul Tiras' navy to the Alliance.

DMF Cards the first ~72 hours of the expansion. Every deck was selling for 500k-750k after 24 hours, so I spent all the time I had and just shuffled bracers info expulsum. Constantly spammed trade that I was buying herbs at just about every price, and just went to town. Once the weekend hit (Friday), I sold my last few decks (made 44 total in those 3 days I think), and listed all my leftover cards on the AH at a decent cut.
It's hard to step out of the shadow of Legion, which was utterly fantastic in almost every way, to enter an expansion where you get one item per boss in the last expansion because the rules have been changed to force more grinding, where you have to grind reputation in the old expansion that you probably skipped because rep grinds suck JUST to unlock allied races (who aren't fully unique races since they recycle old content such as animations), where questing has SOMEHOW become boring again and where your new abilities are given by items you'll swap out every level, meanwhile being only boring passive effects no one cares about.

Jewelcrafting, buy/get ores, prospect them, craft blue gems and put in the ah. With all the greens and some Monolite from the scraper or your druid* farmer alt (imagination exercise here if you don't have one yet), you can craft green rings, sell them or just disenchant them, for enchanting mats that can be used for sells enchants or just raw mats.
Thing is, as in real life, opportunity cost is the real key on this. I'm getting 2 tokens per month quite easily with just 3 toons (1 maxed only (yeah, pretty damn inefficient but I lack a lot of time to play :p)) just by flipping couple of things, food, flask, potions, bags, shirts (yeah, shirts!!), etc etc. Every damn penny/gold counts :p, just have to learn how your realm market works, what niches exist, which items are needed and undersupplied and which are oversupplied.
When were professions really good, in your opinion? I remember having fun with them in Cata, but that was because I was playing the gold-making minigame of grinding the ore -> gem -> j/c boe's -> d/e mats cycle, back when gemming/enchanting your gear seemed absolutely necessary and people not in accordance with Mr. Robot were kicked from groups. Oh yeah, and don't forget the primary stat boost for BoP gear that was profession-specific that made gathering professions anathema to a raiding toon.

Rank 3 is terrible design, if they we're most open about how they drop etc. I, as a avid LW collector (Yes I have all recipes in-game but IIRC 1 from vanilla, few from TBC that was removed due to stupid design), and I still dont have all rank3 from LW despite plenty of runs through the 5 mans for em...Ill just wait for next exp or w/e and stealth runs.

-Bugs- There aren't too many glaring bugs anymore, but you will certainly encounter some. The pathetic thing is that many of the bugs you'll encounter were reported repeatedly during Alpha/Beta and still weren't fixed. Some bugs were discovered after release and players were able to abuse game mechanics without repercussion unless they were one of the more serious offenders. This gave some players a significant advantage over others because they used exploits and at the start of an expansion, that is the time when it's most impactful.

Consumables (Alchemy, Jewelcrafting, Enchanting) – When I have gotten a toon to max level and managed to get all of the end game recipes/ranks, I have done well. However, I never have much luck with the lower level items. It feels to me like if someone is going to buy a gem, enchant, or flask, they want the best one or none at all. Maybe that comes down to the servers I play on, but it does make sense compared to how I play my own toons. I either am going to gear up a toon for endgame or not worry about it at all. Alchemy does have the benefit of transmutes which even the low level ones can make some decent gold. JC does have the MOP mounts and pets if you can get the recipes for them but otherwise these professions feel like max level or bust to me.

World of Warcraft is an MMORPG title released by Blizzard Entertainment in 2004. The game is another franchise of the popular Warcraft series which has received numerous awards. Blacksmith, Tailoring, Leatherworking all can create their own BoP gear like before with Blacksmithing able to potentially create indestructible versions and can repair in the field instantly (not that big), while Tailoring gets specific cloak enchants with some unique effects like not being able to to be dazed which is going to be very useful for Tailoring/Herbalists.
The Escalation patch has introduced several new scenarios with respective heroic modes that provide shiny new loot. It is still too early to predict which of these will demand the highest prices at the auction house or AH, since it can take weeks for players to work through the content and determine the value of the new drops compared to the existing items. Many expect the rarest and most prized drops to start commanding handsome prices starting June, so just keep your eyes peeled for popular WTB requests in general chat and high-selling items at the AH.
It’s a good thing that the previous expansion, Legion, was the best in the game’s history because Battle for Azeroth is coasting on its success. The major class redesigns that happened then remain in effect (though some are a little worse, and some a little better), and the combination of World Quests and Mythic+ dungeons means there’s always something to do, no matter your skill level or how long you can play.
At the end of Legion, the titan Sargeras was imprisoned, but not before he plunged his sword into the planet Azeroth. This not only devastated a massive area (much of the desert zone of Silithus is now cracked and scorched), but badly wounded the gestating titan inside. While the heroes managed to ablate the worst of the damage (at the cost of the majority of their artifact weapons' mythic power), the world is still wounded and bleeding a substance called "Azerite," which has great magical potential. The Horde Warchief, Sylvanas Windrunner, attempts to consolidate Horde power on Kalimdor and gain a monopoly on Azerite (which is primarily found at the southern end of the continent). Her campaign to do so, the War of Thorns, formed a pre-launch event for the expansion and ends with the major Night Elf holdings on the continent seized or (in the case of their capital city of Darnassus) annihilated. The Alliance makes a retaliatory strike against her home base, the Undercity, which was formerly the human capital of Lordaeron. This succeeds in driving the Horde out, but before leaving Sylvanas saturates the area with disease and toxins that render it uninhabitable. With this tit-for-tat military exchange, the Horde has almost complete control over Kalimdor, while the Alliance has near-total dominion over the Eastern Kingdoms.[4] With further conflict inevitable, Battle for Azeroth takes the two factions to the continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar to recruit new allies in order to turn the tides of war.[4]
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is the seventh expansion for World of Warcraft revealed at BlizzCon 2017 and announced for release on August 14, 2018.[1] The Alliance, led by King Anduin and Genn Greymane, attacked Lordaeron, Warchief Sylvanas' base at Undercity, in response to the Horde burning down Teldrassil. The factions are at war. Between the Alliance-controlled Eastern Kingdoms and the Horde-controlled Kalimdor is the Great Sea. It is in this Sea that a majority of the expansion will take place.
In a few months only mats will be worth anything. At this point we have people with tens of millions of gold and people with just a few thousands. A flask takes tons of mats to make, and they will sell for well over 10k gold each, so the casual players won't afford them. When people realize that the rich guys will always take buying from the AH over farming their own mats, the prices will go even higher, then casuals will notice how expensive flasks are, and they will pick up alchemy and make more flasks, driving the prices down again.
