TSM shopping list was super awesome, but it feels like a lot of clunk for what I wanted to do. I keep hearing ppl talk about server daily avg prices, region prices, etc. But I couldn't find any of that in TSM, even with importing groups/operations from someone. And wtf is an operation? I assume it's just a script that TSM runs to do price compares, etc? I'm convinced all the ones I tried didnt work.
Still, it’s terrible to see the new expansion fail so spectacularly at iterating on Legion’s success. It’s hard to believe the two expansions came from the same company. Legion made you feel powerful and unique. Battle for Azeroth grinds at you by taking away as much as it gives. Sure, you can have a shiny toy. Sometimes. If you don’t get too carried away.

I think you have legitimate concerns, but to be fair the squish already happened, the numbers just haven't caught up yet. You can already craft current-expansion items starting at crafting level 1, and those crafts generally award 3-5 levels each. So squishing the ranks from 800 down to 100, doesn't functionally change anything, it just allows crafts to only award 1 skill point per use, instead of 5.

The amount of time it takes to farm the requisite 4,600 GIO per mount, for a profit of 44,000g per toon, per month, is not worth it when stacked against opportunity costs. It could be, feasibly, if there was enough volume of GIO being moved through the AH to sustain this and you were just buying it outright, but there is not. Hasn't been for years.
A variety of people use professions in this game for different purposes. Some just use them for their own needs and some use them because their game is making gold on the auction house. You also need living steel which is transmuted from triullium, which in turn is transmuted from ghost iron. If you have an transmute master you proc on average about 20 additional trillium bars, that's like 7000g in savings.

Even then, margins are much better if you start with ghost iron ore, smelt it and transmute it with a transmute master. Every trillium proc is an extra 500g free, every LS proc is an extra 3000g. If you're just buying 30 living steel there is no profit when you account for jards energy sources being about 700g a piece on some servers. 4200 Ghost iron ore is what you need. Arrange your toons with professions to max that out.

The world quests aren’t necessarily bad, but they aren’t good either. I wouldn’t mind killing five of a type of monster or fighting one particular boss a few times, but after seven or eight, it starts to wear pretty thin. But going from levels in the mid-20s can take nearly 30,000 AP, so you’ll need more than world quests if you want to get your heart up in a reasonable time.

I’m between jobs atm so I only had enough money to get a month (haven’t played since legion launched) so I’ve been stressing about trying to somehow build my gold up to buy game time instead of enjoying it. I’ve had a lot of fun just trying to catch up on my Demon Hunter (maxed his level and am about to start the Mage Tower stuff and work towards reputation for allied races) and when it gets tedious, I’ll switch over to my engineer and craft stuff or level my new character I’m going to use for herbalism and alchemy. Hopefully when life is a bit steadier and my WoW standings improve, I can use all of this advice to make some $!

The illusions, meh. Last time I checked both TSM and the LGM spreadsheet both showed only a couple hundred gold return/unit, if they showed a profit at all (most didn't). They're slow movers as it stands, and there is already substantial competition over that market on my server anyway. So it's not worth the trouble of babysitting/cancelling/relisting for such a nominal return.

I guess I'd put the blame on the amount of posts I read every day and the attitude towards new goblins, which is "You should do this". What they need is a proper education in gold making, they need to understand the process, and not learn about new sources, cause then every time a source dries up, a farm is nerfed, they come back here to ask the same question. "This died. What now?" or "I'm at 500k, what now?" And that's why I'm annoyed. But then again, to each his own, I'm not the one in need of help...

Her campaign to do so, the War of Thorns, formed a pre-launch event for the expansion and ends with the major Night Elf holdings on the continent seized or (in the case of their capital city of Darnassus) annihilated. The Alliance makes a retaliatory strike against her home base, the Undercity, which was formerly the human capital of Lordaeron. This succeeds in driving the Horde out, but before leaving Sylvanas saturates the area with disease and toxins that render it uninhabitable. With this tit-for-tat military exchange, the Horde has almost complete control over Kalimdor, while the Alliance has near-total dominion over the Eastern Kingdoms.[4] With further conflict inevitable, Battle for Azeroth takes the two factions to the continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar to recruit new allies in order to turn the tides of war.[4]
-Gameplay- Gameplay has largely been stripped down to be a shell of its former self. This trimming has been going on for several expansions, but now it's even worse. Classes only have so many buttons which has resulted in very little skill involved in PvE (even PvP is a faceroll for most melee, lacking any sort of depth and decision-making as it's pretty clear what buttons to press in any given situation) and it's become more of a gear check. This expansion gave zero new abilities to classes, only took them away.

All of my gold came from everyone buying stuff at a really marked up price for instance BS 2h mace if it proced epic i was making at least 125k per one and i was making batchs of 10 to 15 it was like 25k for blue and 125k+ for epics at the time. And i was buying the ore for like 16g to 40g a pop so huge profit. Im still trying to figure out what im gunna do now to rebuild it will be a slow process now.
