The best way to collect AP is through world quests, a system that allows players to complete menial tasks to earn moderate rewards. A finite amount of AP spawns on the map through these quests — generally at least 2,000 a day. I’ve likely done most of these quests close to 20 times in the course of preparing my various characters in the 45 days since the expansion launched. In some cases, I’ve replayed them as many as 50 times.
-Warfronts- I liked the idea of warfronts because it blends elements of Warcraft III with World of Warcraft, however, it's not a PvP battleground or instance, it's PvE so given time, it's a guaranteed win so many people are starting to AFK in the warfront. Beyond that, there is only one warfront to participate in right now. Also, when preparing for a warfront, Blizzard presents you with daily quests to help "aid" the warfront, however, your daily quest turn ins have no bases on the progression of warfront. The warfront will continue to advance at the same rate no matter if you do zero quests or everyone does all the quests.
The bones of Mythic+ are fairly simple, but it’s that simplicity that makes it Battle for Azeroth’s most rewarding mode. It’s fun, generally only takes about 40 minutes per dungeon and allows small groups of players to push themselves exactly as hard as they’d like. Battle for Azeroth’s dungeons are extremely well-designed and consistently entertaining, even after doing some of them 20-plus times, which makes the challenge of Mythic+ a great way to keep people playing.
The stirrup lasts for 2 hours. Two hours of farming my route earns me between 50-80k depending on Anchor Weed spawning on Moon Guard. The materials sell almost instantly if you price reasonably. I don't farm every day and I'm still sitting on almost a million gold. BfA is the expansion where I no longer pay Blizzard. They now pay me to play with how little gold tokens cost right now.
They're segmenting professions by expansion. So that 100 skill level for legion is just for legion. There'd be another 100 skill in draenor blacksmithing or whatever. It's a better way to do it. As /u/UristMcUselessNoble said above: From what I've understood, instead of one one 1-800 profession, each Expac will have it's own profession level, which mean Classic will be 1-300, Cata will be 1-75, Legion 1-100 etc.

When you launch the game you can choose from two opposite factions (Alliance and Horde), 7 different races for each factions and 6 different classes with very wide mixture of the character's appearance. World of Warcraft play involves the completion of quests while traveling through the story line, gaining experience from the quests to level up the characters and picking up the useful loot to trade with other players. Once a player feel strong enough, or simply just wishes to find some better items, players can visit dungeons where a group can fight together to get better loot from stronger monsters. Near end-game the biggest dungeons require a raid with up to forty players to face and accomplish the hardest challenges for the most valuable items. Another big part of the game is the Player vs Player (PvP) fights where gamers can play againts each other in 2vs2, 3vs3 arenas or battlegrounds for PvP rewards.
Enchanting, Jewelcrafing and Alchemy are also good quality choices no matter what the expansion is because potions, elixirs, flasks they are always needed which made by Alchemists. Then we have enchanting pretty much the exact same thing with alchemy. There is no expansion where people would not need enchants. Then we have jewelcrafting once again same thing, stat gems which always go for a fair price in Auction House. Also this profession synergizes with mining and making good profit by only purchase and prospecting ores.
Allied races aren’t much better. You can only earn them by grinding out reputation. It doesn’t take that long but casual players will need to invest a couple weeks primarily to it, and focusing on that grind will take you away from others, like earning gear. Each race has its own grind, but the things you do to work through it remain the same, adding to your boredom.
We’ll give different advice here, because the gems market is highly volatile. It can make more money than almost any other profession if you watch the market carefully and look for huge spikes in cost. Gems tend to flood the market during beginning to middle of a patch cycle, and spike in value around the end-middle when the content drought makes the market more scarce. It is advised in particular to watch the Tidal Amethyst gemstone, which is very economical to craft and has been known to spike at upwards of 8000%. With gems, it is less about rate per hour and more about how long you can hold before selling. Good luck!
2. Island Expeditions. What?! you may ask, but it is simple. The transmog that drops, now rather frequently, from the expeditions sells well and for high amounts. Despite its somewhat common drop rate the fact that the loot table is so large means that people seeking certain transmog will be more likely to buy it than farm it. The parroted meme on r/wow that it is unrewarding only makes it better for someone like me. In the past two days from doing Island Expeditions on the side (about 20 total) I got 6 transmog items of TSM values between 15k and 150k. I sold 3 so far totaling 140k (Plundered Squid Caster: 50k because I wanted to be rid of it, Stinkrot Smasher: 69k, Razorfin Breastplate: 28k). Pet drops are a different story and while you can sell them, the fact that they need to be looted for the achievement means that the potential buyer pool is smaller.
Similar problems have risen in the leveling system, which automatically scales to the player’s level and equipment. For the most part, you’ll vaporize enemies more quickly as you gain power, but there are some weird dips. Many players complained they felt less powerful at level 119 than at level 110, a problem I experienced myself. And world PvP remains a strange and whacky world where level and class balance issues make wins and losses feel destined instead of earned.
Is it profitable when you compare the time spent farming the ore to what you could have farmed elsewhere? No, it's not even half as valuable, at least not on my realm. That of course changes if you're on a server whose AH can supply a chain of golem production at a reasonable price, but that just isn't the case for me. I wish it was, could be a nice little side gig.

My second most anticipated new feature in the Tides of Vengeance update is the Battle for Darkshore Warfront. It’s the second cyclical battle between the Horde and Alliance, in which each faction takes turns gathering resources, fighting in a pitched raid battle and then controlling the Darkshore zone. In what I hope will be an improvement to the Warfronts feature, the controlling faction will gain access to diverse world quests in the zones they control, rather than the “kill x of y” quests from when it first launched.
Recipe ranks basically make you more efficient at making stuff, either by letting you craft the same number of items for fewer materials or getting a higher yield from the same amount of materials. As an example, having a one-star rank recipe lets you craft items at a relatively inefficient way, but when you acquire two-star or even three-star recipes, it can almost feel like you are crafting items out of thin air because of the low amount of materials required for each craft.
As the battle for Darkshore begins, both the Alliance and Horde are blindsided by a new development: High Overlord Saurfang, who had been defeated and captured in the Battle of Lordearon, has suddenly escaped Alliance captivity and is on the run. Sylvanas sends Horde Champions to track Saurfang down, ostensibly to extract him. However, it quickly becomes apparent that the search party is in fact an assassination squad, as Sylvanas suspects Saurfang of colluding with the Alliance in an attempt to dethrone her. While some Horde champions choose to side with Saurfang and help him escape the assassins, other champions remain loyal to Sylvanas and report Saurfang's and the dissenting champions' treachery to her.
All of this is to say that while you make some good points, such as not trying to farm what everyone else is farming, look for other opportunities, it's not always as simple as just going back to old content. I've heard from many others on this subreddit over the years that the examples I show above are neither unique to my server, nor are they new problems. This might be part of why so many people are expressing difficulty in finding their way.

We have introduced wow gathering professions last month. Today mmogah will talk about what to do with the materials you have gathered: Crafting. Crafting include eight professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting & Inscription, and a crafter has lots of options to choose the best professions.
-Gameplay- Gameplay has largely been stripped down to be a shell of its former self. This trimming has been going on for several expansions, but now it's even worse. Classes only have so many buttons which has resulted in very little skill involved in PvE (even PvP is a faceroll for most melee, lacking any sort of depth and decision-making as it's pretty clear what buttons to press in any given situation) and it's become more of a gear check. This expansion gave zero new abilities to classes, only took them away.
Anyway I will go ahead & download the Twitch app like everyone's saying, but I still need to know whether my in-game addon settings will carry over automatically, or whether they'd return to default same as if they'd all been uninstalled in the curse client then reinstalled from scratch. Because if it's the latter then I will have to take screenshots of the settings on all my toons BEFORE I install the addons thru the Twitch client.

I'll typically buy cards that are < 66% of my crafting cost in unlimited quantities. If I have high stocks, i'll try to repost at 1/8 of the deck's market rate. I don't care if someone is resetting the market because i WANT sales volume and if someone is trying to a reset it's usually low enough for them to buy you out. They all reduce the price very minimally when undercutting, and the "competition" isn't about price, it's about who can relist more frequently.
JC Panthers: Instead of breaking them all down like I did with the golem, I'll just note that currently on my server the Orb of Mystery and the Living Steel combined cost 36,000g. All of the panthers, except the Onyx, sell for 32,000g. A loss of 4,000g/unit, not including the gems. Once we factor those in, at a mean value of ~200g/unit, the loss per Panther jumps to 8,000g.

Yes, that is easy, but it's not quick. Further down in my comments to OP I detailed the GIO farm, and reasonable yield expectations. I looked up a few guides/videos before commenting and most of them estimate a yield beween 800-1,000 GIO/hour. That lines up with my past experience with it as well. That'd be, taking the high yield end, 4.2 hours to farm the GIO for one toon's monthly needs.
Inscription and darkmoon decks remain highly profitable still as long as you approach it with the right mindset and understand that it is a commodity market and the goal is not necessary to sell crafted decks. For me, it's an exercise in managing purchasing Linen & Herbs below market, balancing opportunity cost of converting linen to expulsom, and mass purchasing underpriced individual cards and relisting them at a profit but under the crafting cost so that they move. That's the primary goal, and you naturally complete decks that you sell but you don't go out of your way for.
If you're a new player and buying gold (for some startup money) isn't an option, there's nothing wrong with gathering (especially if you're getting BfA...it'll be good gold initially if you farm BfA mats and sell high). You can make pretty good money just flipping stuff...and because Legion items are super risky now, it's a good time to get spirits of harmony (just buy what you can and sell it in in bigger stacks at higher costs or turn it into ore/bars or lotus to sell when that is profitable). I'd avoid putting all of your gold there though. Sometimes a bot or just someone returning to the game will dump 10+ stacks of 200 spirits cheap and tanks the markets for a bit. Flipping (if you get good at it) will make you more gold in than long run than farming but if you don't have much gold either is a step forward from here. They key to making gold is having the flexibility to lock up most of your gold in items and wait patiently to sell them at a good price but you gotta start small (or cheat like me...when I came back in December I just spent $100 on tokens and haven't spent money on anything other than the Collector's edition since. It's a lot easier to make gold if you already have some.
The Escalation patch has introduced several new scenarios with respective heroic modes that provide shiny new loot. It is still too early to predict which of these will demand the highest prices at the auction house or AH, since it can take weeks for players to work through the content and determine the value of the new drops compared to the existing items. Many expect the rarest and most prized drops to start commanding handsome prices starting June, so just keep your eyes peeled for popular WTB requests in general chat and high-selling items at the AH.

The Heart of Azeroth is an artifact given to the player character from the world soul via Magni Bronzebeard. It is a necklace that can use the power of Azerite, the lifeblood of the embryonic titan Azeroth (See Plot, below). Azerite is similar in function to Legion's artifact power, in that it is gathered normally from playing the game and is used to upgrade an artifact; likewise, the Heart is similar in function to Legion's artifact weapons by having the capacity to be constantly upgraded. Unlike artifact weapons, however, the Heart is shared with all of the player's specializations and can empower all eligible pieces worn simultaneously.

Crafting (Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Leatherworking) – When it comes to endgame, I always found crafting to be very dependent on the level of gear you can produce. There have been times when the crafted gear was competitive with the gear you could get in the open world and during those times I always had success. Then there are the dead times when the game gear vastly out levels anything you can craft. There still is time before BfA launch for the devs to make more changes, so I am not sure where crafting is going to come out this time. Whatever they do, I have always made some gold selling transmog and Blacksmithing has shined in this area for me. Many folks don’t take the time to collect old rare recipes which can leave few competitors. Transmog never sells fast, but it can work.
So much new stuff. The war questline expands. Island expeditions get a couple of new locations to explore. Azerite armor gets tweaked so it’s slightly less stupid than it already is. While we wait for the servers to go back up, Blizzard’s prepared a handy survival guide for Tides of Vengeance. I suggest looking it over, or else risk not surviving at all.
Level 120 comes and goes. Island Expeditions have unlocked, but it turns out they’re not much fun, and the most rewarding versions are only accessible to premade groups. You turn to Warfronts only to realize they’re not available this week. Fine. You can always grind out better gear. Except as you do, you notice your new gear has higher Azerite requirements than your old gear, which means your shiny new items have fewer unlocked traits than what they replaced. Discouraged, you decide to roll as one of the cool new Allied Races. Except you can’t because they’re all locked behind reputation grinds.
