Cyberpunk 2077 hits a record-breaking new sales record

Cyberpunk 2077 closes out the top charting the sales of two weeks on PC and consoles by revealing the astonishing amount in copies that have been sold from the game's launch.

To wrap up a fantastic two weeks of Cyberpunk 2077, the developer CD Projekt Red has shared that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over more than 20 million units since the game's release.

Cyberpunk 2077 has witnessed an increase in popularity due to the highly acclaimed anime on Netflix and the word of mouth from people searching for the less sluggish Night City.

The game was based on an excellent foundation of RPG mechanics and combat however, it was a lot of times sloppy and played poorly on consoles of the last generation.

In the two decades since Cyberpunk 2077 lounge, CD Projekt Red has been working hard, making the game better by releasing regular, significant patches and upgrades to graphics for the latest generation consoles.

One of the biggest updates for The game was update 1.6 was released in conjunction with the premiere of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime on Netflix and created a storm of interest and renewed enthusiasm for the series.

Between September 13 and Sept. 27, 2077 Cyberpunk shattered the top 10 list of bestsellers on Steam and then climbed higher as the days went by.

Despite Cyberpunk 2077 completing a triumph lap, in the form of players exploring or re-discovering Night City, the game remains a long way to be filled.

The decision of whether or not the studio decides to go back to cyberpunk will be seen as the only planned expansion.
