Ubisoft is closing its online services in 15 of its games in the near future and PC as the main affected platform.
One downside of the online gaming industry that is primarily online is that games and the related multiplayer services are able to be stopped forever if their publisher does not want to continue to support the games.
The same is true for 15 Ubisoft games All of them are scheduled to cease their online services beginning on September 1.
In certain cases, this could be a sign that players will no longer play in the game's online multiplayer. In other situations it could mean that you lose access to the DLC.
On September 1st Ubisoft Anno 2070 Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed Salvation HD Driver San Francisco, Far Cry 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier the Prince of online services will be canceled.
Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Rayman Legends, Silent Hunter 5, Space Junkies, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Zombie. All PC versions of those games could be affected and so will those on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions, when they are applicable.
